Moss on hedges

How can I get rid of moss growing on a hawthorn hedge with damaging the hedge itself (which is now showing signs of new growth) It is not possible to pull the moss out by hand or to cut it out as it firmly embedded. Many thanks


Answer

There are several Moss & Algae killers on the market that can easily be sprayed on the area you would like to remove the moss. The Moss & Algae Killer will not harm broadleaf plants do to their different physiological makeup.
The two kinds of chemical control available for moss control: iron-based products (containing iron sulfate, ferrous sulfate monohydrate, ferric sulfate, or ferrous sulfate anhydrous) and soap-based products (containing potassium salts of fatty acids).
