Windmill Palm has a single erect trunk covered with dense, brown, hairlike fibers, and the three-foot-wide, fan-shaped fronds that extend from long, rough edged petioles. A very slow growing palm, overtime it can reach 40 feet in height but rarely does, more often found 10-20 feet. Does well in areas where a tropical look is desired but spaces is a consideration. Very hardy, prefers well-drained fertile soil and full sun.
