Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker' is a herbaceous perennial with deep purple foliage. The rich purple color is present from the time the leaves begin to open. In summer, 'Firecracker' bears clusters of five-petal bright yellow flowers on upright leafy stems which stand out against the deep purple background. This Lysimachia is commonly 2-4 feet tall and tends to spreads at a steady pace, however it will spread faster with more favorable conditions. Best in humus-rich, moist but well drained-soil. Plant in sun or partial shade in a sheltered location. Great as groundcover, on slops, beds or in planters.
