Stately tree for large spaces. Flowers in May and early June with attractive greenish-yellow blossoms that have a tangerine tint at the base of the petals. Attractive yellow fall color. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and slightly acidic soil. Rarely or never fed on by Japanese beetles.
