Attractive tree has small white, bell-shaped flowers produced freely in spring in small clusters with or before the emerging foliage. It prefers rich, well-drained moist, acidic soils and sun or part shade. Exceptionally pest free, however it will not tolerate high soil pH conditions, urban settings, high heat, drought or poor soils.
