Tall columnar fir tree the most stately fir in Japan, this lovely fir has attractive yellow-green needles which are often notched at the tip when young. Yellow-green 3-6 inch cones which ripen to a brown color. Best in fertile, moist well-drained soil. Prefers cool summer climates and will tolerate shade. Generally to 65 feet in cultivation, also known as Momi fir.
