A problem free vine which tends to be very vigorous, but very clean, good for trellises or along the ground. Purple fragrant flowers begin to bloom in mid-may. Deciduous in zones 4-6, evergreen in warmer climates. Prefers moist, fertile well-drained soil in full or partial-sun. Other cultivars include 'Alba', 'Purple Bouquet', 'Rosea', and 'Variegata'.
